DO NOT RENT FROM THIS WOMAN!!! In ten years of renting I�ve never dealt with a worse landlord. Don�t let the sweet old lady act fool you. The only thing this woman cares about is her own wallet. First, I moved into the home and it was filthy and never cleaned, although I was told it would be. I thought she was being nice when she said she would install a bathroom in the basement. I told her I had no issues with this being done. The work was supposed to take 2 months��IT TOOK OVER 6! Instead of making it right she constantly blamed the latest on the contractor and refused to higher another one, because this was a family friend doing all the work. She did give me back 500 bucks once�.nice considering I was paying for a three level home for 6 months and only using 2 floor. Then we found the home had black mold�.a horrible case of it. Again more construction that took entirely too long��but of course that wasn�t enough. Again, nearly three months later we discovered mold again in the house. This time my wife was 4 months pregnant and I was told she couldn�t get anyone in to take care of it for a month or more. It wasn�t until I told her that I would report her that the next day the contractor was there. For the holidays my wife and I had to spell in the living room�..what a great holiday. Oh, it was awesome to hear from the contractor that she knew the mold was there because he told her about it but didn�t want to fix it until the tenant said something. Now when my wife was 7 months pregnant I get a frantic phone call about the basement flooding due to heavy rains. The contractor came over and stopped the flooding but never bothered to try and treat the carpet that was completely soaked. They discovered the flood was due to the deck in the back yard being built incorrectly. The contractor came and torn down the deck and then left the wood and construction materials in the backyard FOR THREE MONTHS!!!! We then got a 30 day notice that she wanted us out of the house, which I truly believe she did just to negotiate the rent. She previously raised the rent from 1975 to 2400 just because we moved in a roommate���a little high if you ask me! Luckily we already have plans to move out with our new baby. Of course this wonderful woman wasn�t done. Now that she had to find some other innocent couple to take care of she decides to send the contractor over to build the deck two weeks before we are moving out. The home had to be ready to rent! I told her this was unacceptable due to having newborn in the house and her needing to sleep. Finally we made it out of this mess of a home only to find out her ridiculousness wasn�t done yet. She then sent us a letter stating we caused damages to the home that were already there when we moved in. Of course she never did a walk through with us and I made a huge mistake thinking this �nice� woman wouldn�t take advantage of us and claim we caused damages we didn�t���.she did. Now I normally expect to get a little of the deposit taken from a landlord to take care of normally wear and tear along with cleaning but not TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS worth! Yep that�s right; she kept all of it and decided to claim we actually owed her more but was calling our deposit good��.oh thanks! My only hope is that some other hard working family isn�t taken advantage of by the �kind� old lady!
